Styling Tips with Anaya: Ribbed Amelle Abaya
Posted on 02 June 2017
Continuing with our Ramadan styling series at Anaya, this week, we will show you how you can style the beautiful ribbed Amelle Abaya. This abaya adds a perfect touch of colour to your wardrobe and is the ideal abaya for long summer walks and meetups with friends.
Look 1: Summertime blues
We all know how hot and clammy thick, dark abayas can be in the hot summer months, but all of that can be avoided, thanks to this stunning pale blue ribbed Amelle Abaya. Wear this gorgeous light-weight abaya with a slightly oversized, distressed denim jacket and some on-trend denim embroidered slippers. Complete the look with a lightweight rayon blue-white scarf and some cat-eye sunglasses.
Mix up the look by pairing this lace-embellished abaya with an open-front kimono with tassel trimming and a long silver necklace. Add a georgette silver-grey scarf, a light grey mini bucket bag and some light grey loafers and you’ll be set for a day out with your friends.
Look 2: Relaxed catch-up clothing
What can you wear when you don’t want to dress up as if you were going to a wedding, but don’t want to dress down as if you were about to hit the gym? Our Amelle Abaya ofcourse! This no-fuss abaya provides that happy medium, so that you don’t have to feel too ‘dressy’, or too underdressed for that matter, but can still look neat and sophisticated when catching up with the girls. Add a pair of bejewelled flat sandals, a large-faced watch and wear a thin waterfall cardigan over the top for a nice day-time look. Finish off the look with a white crepe scarf and a mesh-style white leather cross the body bag and you’ll be ready for any meet up.On the other hand, you could add a touch of youth to this look by pairing this Amelle Abaya with a military inspired oversized jacket, white, on-trend, suede trainers and Malcolm X inspired shades. Be sure to roll up your jacket sleeves and let the Amelle Abaya peep through for that added youthful grunge effect.
